"GEOPOLITICAL" PROJECT

THE ESSENTIAL WORK OF RESEARCH

Pour une Planète sans Frontières has developed the Geopolitical project in order to meet the needs of asylum seekers and its partners to provide the geopolitical research necessary for the constitution of the asylum application file.

Our team:

  • to undertake customised research on the geopolitical context of the asylum seekers' country of origin. Such as, polygamy in Comorian law, the kidnapping of street vendors in Angola

  • to analyse OFPRA (Office Français de Protection des Réfugiés et des Apatrides) reports, to research press articles in French, English and in the language of the asylum seeker's country of origin, studying law cases of the Cour Nationale du Droit d'Asile (CNDA), consulting databases such as AIDA, EDAL

  • write up to date reports on the situation in the asylum seeker's country of origin

  • provides volunteer interpreters who speak the language of the asylum seekers' country of origin in order to assist them, among other things, in writing their story or in preparing their appeal before the CNDA

QUALIFIED VOLUNTEERS

Our partners welcome migrants and accompany them in the writing of their stories. Especially for those who do not have the linguistic knowledge or the tools to carry out this research.

Our organisation works with volunteers who have studied political science, law or international relations, who have done academic work and who are used to research and analysis. Our volunteers are assisted, if need be, by volunteer interpreters who speak the language of the asylum seeker.

We provide our partners with our expertise in order to help them in the most efficient way possible.
